In using macramé, a craft technique, to weave a functional item (extension cords) the boundaries that exist when classifying objects and the ease in which value/meaning can be transformed via context, form and authorship are questioned. However, in the end the cords remain true to their original use as the sculpture also powers a group of fluorescent lights.
